A Glimpse of Barangay Alloy

Long time ago, there was an Ilongot group of hunters, one of them was a person named “Malloy“. One day, they went to the forest to hunt and Malloy suddenly failed to shoot a wild deer. Sinc the sound of the gun breaks the silence of the forest, the deer runs deep into the forest but still, Malloy chased the running deer and shoot and fired however, the wild deer still escaped. His friends laughed at him and they shouted and Ilongot words, “Manalloy-alloy ti bag ni Malloy“. Those japing words made him notorious in the place. And in 1920, Americans arrived in the place and asked the people the name of their leader-the most popular person in the place and the people said, “Malloy-Manalloy-alloy”. From there, the place was then called by the Americans “ALLOY“.
