A Glimpse of Barangay Camamasi
This place is a haven of flora and fauna according to records. It became a hunting ground of the Bugkalot tribes. In their daily hunting routine, they were always attracted to a beautiful bird that has a multi-color feather called “Kulasisi“. Likewise, they also discovered a fruit-bearing tree called Locus/calmanansi/dalyap and a tomato (bearing the small kind of fruits) which they called a “camansi“. They used all these as spices in their food and later, because of the benefit from the place, the Bugkalot people called the place “Camamasi” in favor of the trees and a bird. There were more tribes that came along and in 1972, the place Camamasi was established as a Barangay.
