A Glimpse of Barangay Tukod

Ilongot are the first settlers of the place before the Ifugaos came followed by the other tribes. The name of the place “Tukod”, symbolizes an old respected man of the Ilongot tribe in the early period. It is associated with the English word “post” meaning, a foundation and “Tukod” in the Ifugao dialect has also the same sense. According to records, Tukod became a barangay of the town of Kasibu in 1974.
